Zweistromland Restaurant

 

Dear Guests,
On August 8, 1999 the restaurant “Zweistromland” in Aachen opened its doors to the public. With my 25 years of experience as a gastronome, I have already established 6 other restaurants in Germany. The design of the Aachen restaurant was done together with the archaeologist and architect Unal Karamizirak. There are only 14 restaurants of this kind in Germany and all of them radiate a certain vacation atmosphere.
Our restaurant seats 120 guests and has a large summer terrace situated in the garden, which can seat 300 more guests.
The land between the Tigris and Euphrates, also known as Mesopotamia (Zweistromland), lies today partly in Iraq and partly in Turkey. Here, agriculture and stockbreeding were cultivated for the first time in the history of mankind. The production of beer and wine had its origins in Mesopotamia as well. The biological method — cooking meals in a clay oven with beech wood — was part of the culinary art in those days.
Today we use the same method to serve your meal. Each dish is freshly prepared. For this time investment you will be rewarded with a unique taste experience. We set great value on your feeling comfortable with us.
